Vaccination

Why is vaccination needed?

As a living being, the animals also need to be vaccinated against the viral and bacterial diseases that can infect their system in ways a farmer cannot even imagine. All the risk factors within the environment are enough to make it tough for the animals to breathe in fresh air and live a healthy life. Thus, to ensure productivity and growth of the animal, a proper schedule must be followed by the farmer.

The team of Stockfeed livestock believes that only a fit and a disease-free animal can benefit the consumers. Vaccinations help in doing so which is why we highly recommend that you administer the prescribed vaccine dosages in your animal and make its immune system strong. For cattle farmers, a healthy animal is a key to success!

Calf Feeding

Principles of animal fattening

Although using the right livestock feed is the key to getting a healthy and fat animal but still there are some main rules and regulations which you need to follow to attain maximum benefits.

The result of Stockfeed TMR livestock feed depends on whether you strictly follow these principles or not.

  1. For this purpose, you can buy a weak and young animal but not an old and ill one.
  2. Whether you’ll make money from your project or not depends on the purchase of the animal.
  3. Before giving the fattening feed to your animal, make sure you de-worm it. The process of deworming must be repeated after 21 days.
  4. The process of fattening should last only for 60 days.
  5. Animals for the festive of Eid must not undergo this process of more than 90 days.
  6. 60 days fattening schedule: For first 40 days use 64 number TMR and then 54 number TMR for the last 20 days.
  7. While interchanging the feed from TMR 64 to 54, mix both the feeds in equal quantity for 7 days and then administer TMR feed 54 solely for the next 20 days.
  8. Once your animal starts showing the signs of mature health, sell it to the exporters or meat animal farmers.
  9. You can make an overall profit of Rs. 12,000 per animal provided that you took the right step while purchasing the animal.
  10. The minimum age of the animal for this process must be 1.5 years and the live weight must be 160 kilos.

Feed lot farming is mainly the process of transforming weak animals into fat and healthy ones for their sale and further consumption. Every diet is made up of special and pure ingredients. Depending on the farmer’s requirement, the Stockfeed researchers have composed the formulas which best suit the animal’s needs. TMR pre-fat feed is another such example of excellence which helps the farmers in carrying out successful feed lots.

  1. The animals included in this project must be vaccinated against the possible diseases. Repeat the act of de-worming the animals after 21 days as well.
  2. The animal food containers must be loaded for 12 hours and empty for the next 12 hours.
  3. In the 12 hours of the food supply, the intake of feed would be 3% of their body weight. This amount is sufficient to fulfill all their nutritious needs.
  4. The 12 hour period can either be at night or in the day (according to your will).
  5. Provide a dry and open place to the animal for the process of mastication (jogali).
  6. Make sure your animal has complete access to water and salt round the clock.
  7. The animal receives a different feed for fattening which is why the first week of fattening is carried out by supplying a mixture of 50% TMR no. 64 feed and straw (bhoosa).
  8. Make 7 partitions of straw. Now reduce one portion daily and balance the missing amount by increasing the quantity of TMR 64 feed.
  9. At the end of seven days, the animal will completely shift to TMR 64 feed with the exclusion of straw from its diet plan.
  10. To maximize the profit and minimize the expenses of feed lot project, you can use wooden food containers and plastic drums for water supply.
